I've been reading other blogs, about ups and downs, two steps forward, one step back. So I thought I'd look through my photo files to get an idea of my own progress.
Here I am in 2004, pre-Spark, and I think I was about 250. I'm with my friend Ps. Hugo in Iquitos, Peru. He passed away the following year.
Here I am in 2006, cooking a spaghetti lunch for my friends in Iquitos, Peru. I think I actually got down to 230. My friends commented on how good I looked.
In the summer of 2007, in Iquitos, Peru. I was around 200 pounds. Some difference, huh? Haircut, too.
Summer of 2008 in the village of Bretaña, one of the jungle villages we visited. Holding steady around 200. But shorter hair, and COLOR.
Summer of 2011, I crept back up to about 216. Long sleeves hide my "wings" on this rooftop in Quito, Ecuador. New glasses!
Summer of 2012 had me starting at 226, but I managed to get back DOWN to 216 before I arrived home from Pucallpa, Peru, here with my fiancé Levi.
Easter 20013 found me at about 202, outside my home in Rochester, NY.
It bounced up a bit and is going back down. I am now dealing with arthritic hips and knees, and can't have any replacements because of my metal allergy. So I've gotta get this weight down. I'm looking for ONEderland some time this month, if I stay in my calories!
It'll be interesting to see what I am when I reach my 60th birthday this summer.
