Today I finally managed to make through all six 90 second jogging intervals that are part of the c25k program in week 2. The first time I tried it I could only do four of them for the whole 90 seconds. The second time I managed five. Third time's the charm, right?
Just two weeks ago I could barely handle jogging for 60 seconds, and now 90 seconds, while it's hard, it actually feels pretty good. And even though I'm taking a little longer on the program than it's normally scheduled (my weeks seem to take about a week and a half because I seem to always need to repeat a day), I know that by just keeping this up and keeping at it I'm making fantastic progress. I can't wait to see where I'll be in five weeks.
In other news, my scale has been quite stubborn this past week. After my official weigh in at 209.8 on Tuesday last week, the scale decided to jump back up to 212 the next day! I was not pleased to say the least, and it took me the whole week to get it back down, so that my weigh in this week clocked in at 209.2. So I still officially had a 0.6 pound loss, but that's a bit frustrating after such a great loss the week before. I'm sure it's just my body's way of adjusting to all the exercise I've been doing lately, so hopefully this week it'll get it together and keep that scale number heading down.
I also think I must have lost at least a size, maybe two at this point. I got a belt a while back and have since gone down 3 notches on it. My hubby and I joke that I wear hobo pants now, because whenever I tighten my belt the right amount the waist of my pants just looks ridiculously baggy and ill-fitting. Luckily my shirts are long enough to cover that area up, but I'm gonna keep losing weight, and pretty soon my current pants just are not going to work at all. Which of course I'm absolutely ecstatic about, because it means I'll have made it out of the plus sizes, and can more easily shop for style, rather than just shopping for what fits.
