Things are looking up

I've been struggling over the past few weeks, but now things are looking up. I feel like I've finally got on a good track with healthy eating. I'm eating out much less often and like the creative challenge of finding healthy and delicious meals to cook at home. Grilled chicken breast is my friend.

On the exercise front I've been doing a 5K challenge and have gone from being a walker to a jogger. I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it, but it gets a little easier each time. I like that my heart and lungs are getting stronger, and that I can see evidence of that as breathing through my workout gets easier and easier.

I'm so happy that spring finally arrived. I've already spent 3 evenings on the golf course and plan to do much more of that. This weekend I will plant an herb garden in my backyard. Summertime here I come!

    Sounds great! My gardens are tilled as of tonight and waiting to be planted. I'm hoping to do some of that this weekend.

    I want to start jogging too! I wanna be able to do the 5k and eventually work up to a half marathon. I'm really obese and I don't know where to start. Well, I do.. I've started with walking. I just don't know when or how to move from walking to jogging.

Do you have any tips for me? I really wanna have a goal other than just walking 4 miles a day.
