Yes, that's right, I'm a fat vegan. I gave up red meat about 6 years ago, the rest of the land animals about a year later, and finally, last June, my husband and I made the decision to also give up fish and dairy, and now eat completely vegan, after being inspired by the documentary Forks Over Knives. That was a really long run on sentence!
Unfortunately, this did not result in me becoming super slim like I always imagined would happen if I ever gave up cheese! I still have the underlying problem of overeating. Yes, I eat healthier food now, but still eat in excess of what my body needs.
So, I'm back at Spark People, trying again.
My goals this week are to track my food daily, get outside and take a walk every day, and eat more fruits and veggies and less processed crap. Take a break from snack foods like crackers, chips, cookies... Things that I have a tendency to keep eating until the bag, sleeve, or box is empty.
My ultimate goal is to get to a healthy weight, feel good, look good, and be able to do all the things I want to do, like take a long hiking trip through the Narrows, biking through Tuscany, kayaking through the Na Pali Coast, and traveling the world with my husband.
