Day #22 - Long, Weird Day

Yesterday was a very weird, long day...
Here's the exercise I did yesterday (5/8/13):
2.9 miles of walking
65 minutes on the elliptical trainer
Chest Press - 3 sets of 8, 130 pounds
Pec Fly - 3 sets of 8, 115 pounds
Tricep Pushdown - 3 sets of 8, 115 pounds
So I didn't get my lunch walk in, but let me tell you the crazy reason why. Around lunch time and the time I usually go for my walk, my officemate got a call. It was a call from a guy claiming that he had her brother hostage and was going to kill him if she didn't wire him $700. It sounded very real (she had the guy on speaker phone) and my officemate does have a brother. So we were trying to keep our cool, verify that her brother was ok and figure out the next step. Thank God for Google, we Googled the number and figured out the guy was a fraud trying to extort money. From what I've read online, it's actually a pretty common occurrence. So that threw me off mentally and I didn't really feel like walking after that ordeal was over. It was a shame because it was actually gorgeous outside at lunch time.
When I got off of work, the sky started to turn ominous. Thank God it didn't start raining until after I had made it back to the train station.
I was extremely proud of myself though for yesterday. Even though I have regular meetings on Wednesday evenings (7:00 - 8:30), I changed into my workout clothes and went to the gym after the meeting. I was in the gym until 10:00 pm last night and then I went to the grocery store after the gym and picked up some food, so I could make lunch and dinner for the next few days. I didn't get home until 11:00 pm last night and didn't get to sleep until just before 1 am. I'm pretty surprised I'm not knocked out right now
