Good non-snacking night last night. Yeah for me!

emoticon I had a good non-snacking night last night. I saw a number on the scale yesterday morning that I hadn't seen in quite some time and I think it shocked me. I got up twice last night to snack and went right to bed. It sounds so easy, but it took a lot of will-power not to eat. I drank water and turned right around. I don't want to sabotage myself but I start out great one night and right back into the bad habit the next. And it's so easy to do. Like fitting into an old slipper. I'm lacking confidence that I can do this but I'm trying to have a positive attitude. It's one minute at a time for me! I really don't understand myself... This is my eating routine. Morning: 21 gm Pure Protein Shake, 2 cups of coffee, 16 oz. water. Lunch: fruit, usually a grilled chicken salad w/balsamic vin. and slice of grain bread. Snack: fruit or nuts or yogurt. Dinner: usually chicken or pork grilled, steamed veggies, potato or rice. Snack: fruit/popcorn. Then the wee hours hit... Oh boy watch out. I eat crackers, cheese, left overs, nuts or whatever else I find appealing. I rarely buy chips and that sort of stuff. I completely kill the day w/wee hour snacking. If I cut that out I would be at my goal weight in no time. And I exercise 45-60 a day faithfully. I can't imagine if I didn't exercise. Holy cow! All I can do is take it one minute at a time when the wee hours roll around. I could try posting some notes or things like that. Even an old picture of myself. I'll do whatever it takes to stop this bad habit. Now off to exercise....

    Good going I have been awake till the early hours for the last 3 nights trying to break the habit of eating. I have managed mostly and when I did eat it was 1 apple. I am stiill awake at 4 tho hope the brain gets the message soon.... emoticon

    It's good that you realize where you need to improve - mine is eating between supper and bedtime. I think we all have those weak times of the day. I'll be rooting for you to do better one minute at a time and I am working on mine too. We can do this!! emoticon

    I have heard if you have a potato before bed, it should hold you over through the night. Anyone else ever heard of this? Also, a big glass of water too!

    I am so proud of you girl for posting this. You are very courageous and inspiring, more than you know. Yes, one minute at a time. I also do good one night and then do differently the next night. I think it is writing things down and seeing patterns and working with oneself what works right for them. And you ARE doing it, my friend. Way to go! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
