What should I do this week? one short and one long run or . . .

My oven works!!!! I can't wait to use it - maybe a roast for supper tomorrow, I just have to use it. I started the cleaning cycle tonight as soon as I could - it was AWFUL!!

I think I will love my washer. It's a Samsung (didn't know they made washers) top loader without an agitator in the middle. I always seem to struggle to wash sheets and large blankets even though my old machine was a large capacity so I think it will be great. I've done 2 loads of laundry (nice to have warm water again) and both seemed large to start with but didn't seem too full once the cycle was done.

My exercise schedule for my half marathon training has gotten a little off. I should have run on Sunday and Tuesday for 30 minutes each and then do 6.5 miles this Friday. But, I was down in Lincoln watching Sarah run her 1/2 on Sunday and then get her packed up and moved so I just walked 2 different times that day. I then ran on Monday and then walked on Tuesday so today SHOULD have been a run day but I had only slept 2 hrs and knew that I couldn't run a good 30 minutes on that little sleep so I mowed the front yard instead.

So . . . my big question is, should I run tomorrow (Thursday) for 30 minutes and then do my 6.5 mile run when I get up Saturday afternoon or do I just do 2 runs this week, one short and one long, and get back to my regular schedule next week?

Any suggestions?

Seems like everyone is in agreement. Do what your body allows you to do! Good luck!

I will suggest the short and long. The short run would prepare your body o the long one. You are doing great. Take care of you.

I'd say run Thursday 30 mins, and then on Saturday, run and see how far you feel up for doing. If you only get in 5-6 miles, that's better than nothing!

Thursday and Saturday sounds like a good idea to me, are you following the Galloway training plan?
