Running, walking and weights, oh my!

I actually made it to the gym again today. That is twice this week, which is twice more than last week. I got in 3.1 miles total on the treadmill. I ran the first two miles in 22 minutes, hopped off and pedaled for 30 minutes, then got back on the treadmill and set the incline at 1.5% and did another 1.1 miles in 13 minutes. Not super fast, but respectable enough. I also did ST. I am focusing more on upper body, as I walk and run quite a bit, so my legs are pretty strong. I did do squats on the leg press machine. I have stalled at 160 pounds for weight on that machine, but since that is about what I weigh I feel pretty good about it. I can do 3 sets of 15 reps at that weight, so you would think I could increase the weight again, but the next increment is a 10# jump, so I am putting it off for a couple weeks. I don't want to strain something at this point. I have also stalled on the weight on the overhead press. I have been using 40-45 pounds for about a month now, and I can still only do about 10 reps at that weight. Of course, taking two weeks off from lifting heavier weights slowed me down. I will get where I want to go... eventually.
Of course I also took my Cooper dog for three walks, plus the walk to and from the gym. So I walked over 11 miles total today, ran 3.1 miles, and pedaled 6.8 miles. A pretty good day for mileage. Not as much as Monday, but it rained this afternoon, so Cooper's afternoon walk was pretty short. I should be able to get to the gym again on Friday. I really need to keep up the running so I am in shape for the 5k. I plan on taking the run outdoors again next week, depending on the weather. I still haven't come up with a secure (and silent) way of carrying all my keys when I am running outdoors, but hopefully something will occur to me. I did get a shoe wallet to try out, but I am hesitant to use it. If I lose my keys then I am locked out of not only my apartment, but the entire apartment building, as I live in a secured building.
I am still lacking much of an appetite. I have been under calories all but one day this week. I just don't want to eat anymore than I have been. I got on the scale today, just to see if it is having any effect, and I had lost another pound, so there is a benefit to my lack of appetite. lol
