Spring Into Summer 5% Challenge - Activity 9 - Know Your Numbers

Well - here it is officially - 5% - 11.9 pounds in 8 weeks

Especially since I've been staying within a 5lb range for a long while...

Current Weight: 238.0 pounds
Target Weight: 226.1 pounds

Done.

C) Update your Calories to Burn This Week (Exercise Plan)

Goal to eat 1440 - 1790 calories per day
Goal to burn 2000 calories per week
Goal to go from 238 to 226 by July 6, 2013

That's a lot of emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

So, I guess this means I really need to start tracking what I'm eating to be successful. Which means I need to start planning my meals and then actually cook what I'd planned... Help!

Although, Jeff Novick and Engine 2 and Dr. McDougall keep telling me that if I'm not eating oils and nuts and meat and dairy, there should be no reason I can't lose weight without really trying.

I calculated the calories to burn based on 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week and 35 miles. This part I feel confident in since I go the gym for at least 30 minutes of elliptical or treadmill every morning before work after I drop my kids off at school. I sometimes go in the evening with my sister, too. Now, if only the gym would get a trainer who can work with us again on our schedule, it would be a lot easier to get my strength training in.
