For the love of an animal.

Wednesday, May 08, 2013

We all love animals, but at a certain age are we capable of taking care of one? An animal has to be feed, taken for walks, and doctor trips. Then if an animal gets sick you have to care for it. Animals are great for companionship, if you have someone who is young enough to take care of the animal. Sometimes, we need to think twice before we take an animal into our home, when we are old and need help ourselves. What will happen to the animal if anything happens to us? Who will take care of it? Will it have to go to a shelter? Will they end up putting it to sleep because no one wants it, because of age? We need to think twice before we do this to an animal. Animals fall in love with us and when they have to leave us they are sad, just as we are sad when we have to leave them. A friend of mine had her animal taken away from her because she could no longer care for it. In this case, the animal went to a home where there were children. The animal was still a puppy. This animal was lucky.
