When we are young we do not think of what is going to happen to us when we age. We go along and have our fun. We do things that could take our lives, hurt our limbs, etc. We think we are super human. Well, maybe at that age we are. Then when we get to our 40 we start to think about getting up in the years. We try to cram in all we can in our lives and sometimes, we create a workload and find ourselves overloading. Before we know it we hit the 50 mark and we become worried. We find we are starting to slow down and some of us are losing hair or starting to turn gray or white. We do not like what we are seeing but there is no way to stop it. We are growing old. All at once we find we are 65 and collecting social security.
When did this this happen? It all came on so fast. We go on our computers and find boards to talk to and find a board with people 70 or older. We take a good look at ourselves and realize we belong on that board. We are now old. We make friends and find that years start to pass and a birthday comes along. It is not just another birthday, it is your 80th. You do not want a cake for fear you will not have enough breath to blow out the candles. Things you used to be able to do now are a struggle. Life is starting to come to the end of your cycle.
You sit back and remember memories of the past. You realize you did not waste your life and you have lived a lifetime with family and wonderful friends. In other words, your life was well worth it. So my advice to you all is to live your life to the fullest so one day you can sit down in your rocker and remember all those memories of friends and family, when you no longer have your independence anymore.
