I live in a hilly region...7 miles from town...1/2 mile from the country club. My house sits waaaaay up on a hill....among the trees.
And my next door neighbors have cows.
So walking around here is a real workout, especially since I have been a couch potato for the majority of 12 years.
When I started my walking routine, it was to the end of the road and back, which amounts to 1 mile. I had to stop several times along the way and huff and puff until I got my breath back and my legs stopped hurting enough to keep walking.
That was two weeks ago.
Yesterday I walked two miles without stopping even once.
I'm getting stronger!
