Today & tomorrow are holidays in France, so no work. I had fully intended to start my speed training again since it is Wednesday and today is the first day of Track Time...a running coach offers training at a local track back home once per week. Coach Ken is the one who got me up to speed (pun intended) for my 2 mile run. Although I am here across the ocean I still get the e-mailed workout plans and was going to go to the local track this afternoon.

The weather had other plans. It rained all morning...so I read a new book and took a long nap. When I got up again it was no longer raining but it was dinner time & I was hungry so I decided to eat first, then run. But, at the end of dinner...it started raining again. It has again stopped but the track is now closed and it is getting dark.

Running workout for the day totally busted.

But overall mental health...maybe a good thing. I took a day to do absolutely nothing and it was nice.

    My running partner used to tell me, "So it's raining, you won't melt, will you?" And we ran....So, I'm just saying....If you're going to do it, just do it!!

    A day off occasionally can be a very good thing! As long as we don't make it a habit. lol. Hope the weather clears up so you can do your speed training. Go for it! BevBear
