Oh, I've been on such a workout roll. Now, the sniffles are making an appearance.
I woke up this morning a little stuffy, and have been really dragging all day. I'm just so TIRED... it's just the feeling of a cold coming on, and I've been fighting it with Vitamin C. I had committed to working out with a buddy from the office, so I didn't go home early. Turns out, she thought we were meeting NEXT Wednesday. I'm on my own.
I was craving something warm, so I went for a cup of tea at the luncheonette. I put lemon and honey in it, and it's wonderful. I was a little hungry, too, so I picked up some steamed veggies and two raviolis from the hot bar. They really served as a pick-me-up! I'm a little surprised by that, because usually food will make you more tired (food coma).
So once I finish my tea, I'm headed down to the gym. I was planning to spin, but I might kind of sandbag a little because of my still-stuffy nose. (Don't want it moving into my chest, where it will wreck me for a week!) I'm glad I had that little snack for an energy boost.
By the way, the guy across the cube from me has been sick for about a week. I tell him to go home, because he's infecting the rest of us, but he just sits over there and coughs/snorts/sniffs/etc., obviously spreading his germs around everywhere he goes in the office. Nice. This same guy made me sick for a Jackson Hole vacation last year!
