In February I completed a 2 week sugar "detox" as I liked to call it. I lost 9lbs in 2 weeks and I was quite pleased. I maintained relatively good behavior until my race on 3/16 but after the 10K was completed I was on hiatus for some reason that I've not quite figured out. I've managed to run short 2-3 mi runs a few times a week but my food choices were becoming marginal again. On Monday this week I decided to put it in gear - for good. A week or so ago I ordered 4 new workout dvds to get some variety back into my workouts. I received Jillian Michaels Killer Buns & Thighs, 6 Week 6 Pack, and Yoga Meltdown as well as the BL Yoga for Weight Loss. I evaluated my situation and came up with this video rotation to try for a few weeks:
Monday: Killer Buns
Tuesday: 6 Pack
Wednesday: Metabolism Boost or Yoga Meltdown
Thursday: 6 Pack
Friday: Killer Buns
These are my 5 a.m. workouts for the week.
I'm aiming for 2 workouts a day for at least 4 days a week, and the extras are:
Monday: Lunch hour yoga class
Tuesday: 2-3 mi run during kids soccer practice
Wednesday: Evening walk with family
Thursday: 2-3 mi run during soccer practice
Friday: Lunch hour yoga class
And on the weekend I will take 1 day off and the other will plan for a 4-6 mi run!
I wrote it all out on the calendar and looking at it movtivates me - don't know why I didn't think of it sooner! I'm a little sore - but in a good way so far and I know that it won't be perfect all the time but its a great start...with a great goal
