On the Plan we eat a lot of vegetables and my knife and cutting board have had quite a workout in the last 4 months. A fellow planner suggested I get a food processor to make the job easier. I had never thought of getting one as I rather enjoy chopping and slicing but when making the soups and veggie dishes a lot it can get a bit much. I did some research on-line to see makes and models, pricing etc and went on U-tube to see how these things are used. They look so intimidating but they made it look easy enough...
Last weekend we made a trip north and i picked up a Faberware food processor. The pic doesn't show the small bowl insert
Oh what fun! I was like a kid with a new toy :)
The small bowl with shredded zucchini
Next came the slicer. I discovered that if I press down harder the slices get thicker.
So far I really like it and next I'll try the chopping part. I love the small bowl, no need to get the big bowl dirty and I was surprised at how easy the clean up was.
My dinner last night was roasted italian vegetables (all nicely sliced!), chopped salad, tri-color quinoa and baked chicken.
