Week 19 - Pulling it together

This past week has been out of control. For whatever reason, I've let mindless snacking get the best of me. So over the past few days I've tried to pull it together. I've started weighing and tracking more of my snacking but still not 100%. I've been craving sweet and salty so my go to snack has been almonds and raisins. This morning I measured out 1oz of almonds and 20 grams of raisins and placed them into a container. This way I can snack on them and know how much I have eaten. I hope that I can continue this.

I'm gearing up for my cruise that is in a few weeks. I was seeing the scale climbing up and now I've finally turned the corner and it's coming back down. The good news is that I'm a little over 20lbs lighter this year than I was when we went on the cruise this time last year. I'm having a fun time packing because most of the shorts that were too tight last year and falling off of me this year emoticon.

Oh how can I forget. I've bumped up my running to 6 miles instead of 5 miles. I seemed to be able to finish it in about 62 minutes with a 10 minute warm up. My goal is to run about 3 times a week and during my other workouts to focus on strength training. I noticed that when the scale starts that my workouts became cardio heavy. I must remember that muscle burns more calories at rest.
