Day 52: Going out to dinner

My 12 year old LOVES Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and the other chain restaurants with very large portions. LOL What helps me is to always have a salad before my entrée when eating out. I make sure that I eat the ENTIRE salad. Usually by now I am pretty full. Then I ask for "take home containers" once my meal arrives, and I divide my meal in half. So I have already cut the oversize meal in half. Then whatever isnt finished from my one half I pack in a separate box. I find that I was overeating for no reason. I would eat because I liked the taste. I was already stuffed and full! But, once I learned to slow down, I feel I have more control.
