Depression

Wednesday, May 08, 2013

Everything is going well in my life right now but still right now I am feeling down. I do not know if it is the struggle with my consistent tinnitus or I just do not know what else. I saw my Doctor today and my weight was where I wanted it at 152. My blood pressure has come down from 140/90 to 125/87. But still this good news is just not making me happy and I just do not know why. I am taking my medications the way I should and I am getting enough sleep and exercise. I guess you just have to go through the valleys to reach the mountaintop and right now I am in a valley. I do hope that I do not start continuing on a spiral downward more!

I have just joined SP and I am really confused by the website no knowing where to not being to find the right sites. Really confused so many places to go and not being able to get back to other sites. I have severe depression and also trying to cope with diabetes and weight loss. I need help. Also I need recipes for 1 or 2 servings only.
If someone does answer this how do I find it. emoticon

With me I blame those feeling on hormones. I guess we forget men have hormone levels too and maybe that is part. Sometimes seeing the doctor is stressful too. I never had problems going to dentist ,gyn's etc. But now I have such anxiety riding in the car by the time I get to the appointment my blood pressure is way above normal. So I I'm going to try leaving way before my appointment and shop at a favorite place next time to calm me down.

I still haven't logged my SparkPoints yet today but thought I'd stop by, Steven... My goodness, CONGRATULATIONS!! emoticon emoticon on BOTH that slim scale number AND the terrific drop in your blood pressure! That's wonderful news, and it didn't just happen...

YOU made it come about! People like you who are conscientious, hard-working and tireless in their efforts to attain - and maintain - good all-around health are extremely admirable, and, all too often, rare amongst us. Doctors take such people, their needs, and their concern very seriously, as they've got a demonstrated track record of good compliance. They see a longstanding pattern that you are more than willing to keep your end of the bargain.

Even so, nobody was ever able to permanently camp out for good on one of those mountaintops we all seek. Having to slog our way through the valleys once again is always disappointing, yet if we know it's necessary - and we also know it'll also inevitably give way to another successful climb to a mountaintop again - it eases the rough times.

You're on your way back up again ...never fear! Susan

Steve, that happens to us all at one time or another. I know it does me. I'll feel really low for a few days and I can't figure out why. I do take a very low dose antidepressant as well as a low dosage pill for anxiety, but even those don't work sometime. Hang in there. It will get better. If not, speak to your doctor about it for sure. God Bless. Bob.

Don't panic! This is only a temporary slump. Everyone has down periods. I feel down today too but I know that I will feel good if I stick to my routine and wait the depression out. Maybe go for a walk if it's a nice day. You will get through this. You are strong. You are doing everything right so you may have to just ride this mood out. I'm here for you.

Sounds like we're both in a slump. Lately my focus is on others and not myself. I guess one step at a time.

Hope you feel better soon! emoticon

There are days when we are not feeling as spunky as we should. Maybe for today try something out of routine, something different something fun. emoticon emoticon
