Day 557

Wednesday, May 08, 2013

Lots happened at my house today so it was hard to get right to bed this morning. Younger son stayed home for the first few periods to get his medicine to kick in - the foot is really sore and it's hard for him to put weight on the back of the heel area.

I stopped and got some groceries and new pads for my old crutches so he could use those today. I wrapped it up good with ace wrap and sent him off to school. We went to see the Chiropractor tonight and he's sending us for X-rays tomorrow "just in case" there is a hairline fracture in his calcaneus (?) (i.e. heel bone). He didn't want to do any adjustments in case there was a fracture so he just adjusted the rest of his body and left the foot for now. Looks like he'll be using the crutches until he can get around better.

I couldn't get him to attend the awards ceremony tonight so I went to the other son's baseball game. They won their first game and they looked pretty good for the first game of the year.

I'm getting my new washing machine tomorrow! They are delivering it between noon and 2pm! I'm also getting my oven fixed - the part came in today so I will get that scheduled for (hopefully) the same time tomorrow.
!!!! Happy dance !!!!

I hope your son's heel heals quickly. Those injuries can be tricky. It was a great night to watch baseball! I'm hoping my oldest son, he'll be a freshman next year, goes out for baseball! He's pretty good and his size won't be a factor.

I love getting new appliances! Did you get a front load or top load washer? If it's front load, make sure you leave the door open between washes to air out. Otherwise, it can get pretty smelly and "gunky." I still love mine!

Have a great day. This rain makes me want to go back to bed, though!
