A week without crackers....

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

And I'm doing well. Each day has become less of a struggle and I'm now firmly of the opinion that it's not worth it and I can go without these nocturnal cracker fests. I also know that just one bite could catapault back to the word of baffling cravings.

I'm trying to make May a "cracker-free zone".

Wow! I know it's hard, but a week without crackers can keep adding up to more weeks -- just one day at a time!
Good for you! Keep that cracker-free streak going!

Good going, Madame. Crackers have never been a regular item here, but when they've appeared on my list, they've disappeared almost as quickly once they got into the house.

Crackers are a big trigger for me so I commiserate with your achievement. I have been cracker free for about 3 months and don't miss them anymore. I have plenty of subs . . . I find that apples work pretty well. They provide the crunch and are a convenient holder. The crackers push some kind of button and they are a little too convenient . . . and apples are divine with peanut butter.
Maybe Mr. GJ would like the apples and peanut butter, too.

Great start! WOOHOO! I haven't had any of the Ritz since my last one back in April. I firmly think mine was linked to weather & being on steroids for a short period of time.

    You're doing great!

Just curious: do you have alternatives to crackers when the craving hits, or are you just cold turkey? I'm a pickle girl, myself. the crunch and salt of baby dills totally does it for me.....

It's a crunch factor. I have it at times. I just plan my crackers and measure them out for the day ahead of time.

Couple weeks ago I ate a whole box of Ritz crackers and a can of Easy Cheese. Disgusting I know because just last week, I bought more Ritz's and did the same darn thing minus the E-cheese. We need Crackers Anonymous! Heehe emoticon

Good for you! One week can become two weeks can become three weeks... and you'll be more like Mrs. Palmer "It's all one" every day.
