Another day in the life...

I walked Cooper 10.5 miles today, plus I used the rower for 44 minutes (I try to do at least 1,000 strokes each time), did one SP video, crunches and hooped for a few minutes. All in all it was a good day. I was going to go to the gym today, but FedEx called this morning to let me know I had a package arriving today that I had to sign for, I ran into the FedEx driver on my morning walk and got an estimate on a delivery time, but it still felt like I spent all afternoon waiting for my package to arrive. I think the driver likes me, as in "likes" me. He always jokes with me and stops to chat, even though Cooper barks at him when he is in uniform.
I plan on getting to the gym tomorrow. I need to run. And I need to work on my upper body ST again. I lost a little ground by taking two weeks off from the gym. I still did some ST, but I only have 5 and 10 pound weights at home, and they don't really challenge me. Someone asked me if I will change my fitness routine when I get to my goal weight, and the answer is no, not at all. I don't really workout to lose weight anymore. I do it to get stronger, fitter, healthier. I want to knock my body fat percentage down a couple more notches, and get faster and stronger with my running. I also want to get out on the water and go kayaking more this summer. I just have to wait for my brother to get completely healed from his surgery, as he has the transportation for the boats. (Besides, it is more fun to go out paddling with someone else rather than alone... safer too.)
Anyway... we had another beautiful sunny day today. The weather has been ideal for about a week now, 70s during the day down to the 50s at night. Makes for lovely walks, and restful sleeping. It is supposed to get cold again this weekend, but I can deal with a couple days, because I know the warm weather is right around the corner again. The pool schedule changes in a couple of weeks, so maybe I will get a chance to get out to swim. That would be a lovely addition to my fitness routine. I miss swimming.
