Today I have the energy to blog about my day on the same day. So let's talk about today...
Here's the exercise I did today (5/7/13):
7.2 miles of walking
I don't have any cool pictures of my lunch walk today, because I actually didn't walk during lunch. Today, I actually did 4.2 of those miles for work (the other 3 miles were my walk from and to my train station). Today, my coworker and I had to work on something in an office building over 2 miles away from where we work. Instead of taking the subway or taking a cab, we decided to walk it. The interesting thing about this walk is that it was pouring rain both ways. And even though we had umbrellas, we still got wet because the wind was blowing so hard. So when we finally got back to the office, I was cold and my socks and shoes were soaked, but I felt great. I had done 5.7 miles of walking and it wasn't even 11 am yet. I was tempted to walk during lunch as well, but I decided not to overdo it.
Had a minor victory today. My coworker got Five Guys for lunch and the cashier offered me a free drink. I asked her what is was and she said it was Coke. Well since I started my journey, I decided to try to avoid pretty much all soda. The only time I might have soda is once a week with my cheat meal and even then, it's Coke Zero. I was tempted, but I ended up just pouring it down the drain, I didn't even stick a straw in it.
Tomorrow is my 3rd weigh in since I started. I'm honestly not expecting a big loss (if any loss, at all). In my past weight loss efforts, I have 2-3 weeks where I lose weight, then it'll be a week where I don't lose anything. At this point, I don't really care about the number. I've been feeling fantastic lately. Take today for example. Even though I walked 7.2 miles today, I got home and still had plenty of energy to cook, clean the kitchen and the living room and do a couple loads of laundry. And after all that, I'm still awake to type this blog. So I'm happy
