It Is Over

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

The epidural wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The steroid injections hurt more than the epidural. He said I have lots of deterioration in places so I would probably need 1 to 2 more injections for them to work. It didn't hurt so I will go back. He said I can keep riding as long as it doesn't make it any worse. Even if it did, I wouldn't stop. That was a moot point to discuss.

Afterwards, we went to lunch. We came home and Brian worked on the yard. Summer was out and even Sydney came out. She wanted to go for a walk so we walked and she stayed out all afternoon. She even ran and barked. Ok, so it was a fast walk. She and Summer are getting along great. After Syd's walk, I took Summer for a walk. They are both going to be exhausted tonight. I upped Syd's meds just a bit and it seems to help. I am watching her carefully for side effects.

The dogs have been very good for me as they get me out of the house. I am spending a lot more time outside and getting a lot more activity in as a result. I can take my tablet outside and get my work done. I have enjoyed having a quiet couple of weeks.

As far as the epidural working, he said I should know in a few days, but he fully expects I'll be back in 10 days. If that's what has to be. It has to be. I am grateful to find someone who believes I will get relief. My head is much better today as well. As of now, I am sore as the stuff is wearing off that was supposed to numb it. He said it will take a few days so I will try to be patient.

I love this beautiful weather :)

Our little fur babies are SUCH a joy! The teach us how to live in the moment and LOVE! I always say that they are our angels just hanging out with us wearing their little fur suits! emoticon or...in your case horse hair suits... emoticon

Glad to hear you are getting a little relief...pain sucks! The hubs is doing better with his foot and back by upping his magnesium. There is a website called natural vitality.com has some pretty interesting information and products on it. He used NaturalCalm that he got from his chiro...to help him sleep better at night. As a side benefit it seems to be helping his joints some too. Check it.

Hugs to you and have a wonderful day! emoticon

Being in pain is awful and those steroid injections do help. I had one last 6 months for my knees when I got one 4 years ago. Hope you feel better soon and they start kicking in and helping. Good you are enjoying being with family and your dogs and out in the good weather. Being outside is one of my fave things lately. Never used to be that way when I was a couch potato. Bugs don't even bother me that much, which surprises me!
Have a great day! emoticon emoticon
