Two for Tuesday 5/7/13

emoticon Today the humidity is building back in so my husband suggested that we go to the mall to get my steps in. I never pass up a trip to the mall! (LOL)

I did my 10,000 steps plus. I managed to do some browsing at my favorite stores and then I decided to step it up. I've been a little lax on the cardio so I did 10 minutes, then 20 minutes and then I met hubby for lunch.
Since we will be leaving here soon we decided to go for Chinese. emoticon

However, we got one plate of orange chicken, fried rice, and beef and broccoli to split. We each splurged and had a vegetable egg roll. It was very tasty and probably more than I needed but before I started this journey I would've eaten the whole plate all by myself! emoticon

When we finished; the love of my life encouraged me to take another lap around the mall to work off some of the calories. He is so supportive. I wish he could walk with me but his knee is bothering him. He tore the meniscus a few years ago but the orthopedic surgeon said he didn't need surgery unless it bothered him. I guess he will have to go back and get it checked again when we get back home in Michigan. emoticon

As of 5:00 pm I have 12,088 steps on my fitbit zip and the night is young! emoticon

So I learned a few things today:
1. It really is better to get some of that exercise done and out of the way early.
2. Saying that I will exercise for at least 10 minutes really works!
3. My fitbit zip is worth every penny. It is very accurate and it really motivates me.
4. My weight is still the same as it was a couple weeks ago but I will hang in there until I get it down where it belongs! I am in charge of my choices and my life.

I just keep telling myself that "If it is to be it is up to me"!

(It sure does help to have the support of my husband, family, and Spark People.) emoticon
