What I have learned?

This week's BL Challenge was to read some Spark Articles and Daily Blogs then report to your team what you may have learned.

During this great journey to health, I have learned a great number of things & the most important thing is MODERATION! Meaning, you can have a chocolate candy, you can have a slice of pizza. . . but all things in moderation. If you constantly refrain from allowing yourself indulgences from time to time, you will never be satisfied & feel deprived, which can lead to a bigger binge.

I also learned that if you read enough articles that they will all contradict each other so just do what works for you. Most importantly, just live a life of MODERATION!

    You are right, I eat whatever I want in moderation and it works for me. emoticon

  while we where traveling my husband and I ran into a pizza hut . they where having a all you want to eat for a certain price . they men in the place said he tended to over eat when he came for these nights . I told him I only ate one piece at anytime no matter the price . he looked at me like I was crazy but one piece is enough for me . I wish I could do this with everything . still having problems with it . wanting more .

    Thanks ladies, Moderation (portion control) has definitely been the hardest thing to learn and follow . . . well, that and actually doing my Fitness Minutes - LOL

    Oh, absolutely! Nothing is off-limits for me. I was able to lose 60 pounds and keep it off for 18 months, using that strategy. Portion control, however, is essential.
