I can hop onto the counter

This was seriously one of my fitness goals. Booyah.

I told one of my coworkers that it was a goal, and then I got up on the counter, and she was like, "Almost..." And I'm like, "What do you mean almost!"

It is certainly inelegant. It requires a very precarious balancing act before I can get my center of gravity away from the ledge, but once I'm up, it's very satisfying. And it's an excellent time killer/perch when you're waiting for the physician to finish whatever the hell they're doing and start the procedure.

(incidentally, it was so hard to get my feet into the frame, as it forced me to wildly counter-balance with the top of my body in order to steady myself on the fulcrum that was my butt.)

    I keep telling my friends, make little reachable goals - you can celebrate more often and you get further with less stress... emoticon

    Good for you! My granddaughter loves sitting on the counter to help me do things in the kitchen.....
