my van finale

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

Yep, she is done its the back end, she is 17 years old. She belonged to my dad. When my mom died she left me the car but because I had (at the time) 4 kids it wasn't big enough and dad was using the van to get back and fourth to work (45 minutes drive one way) we switched. The van means a lot to me and I know my dad thinks it's foolish but I am not ashamed to say I have cried a lot since I was told by the mechanic she just isn't worth the amount it would take to fix her, it's time to let go...
So now we start looking for something else...Not excited

Don't feel silly about crying. It's a chapter of your life that is coming to an end. It isn't the van so much as it is the meaning behind the van.

Sorry to hear. And it's not silly, my grandpa died and my mom took everything but I got the ashtray that he used (he always sat on the front porch, and this is it) Now the emoticon funny part, I don't even smoke, (allergic) but it was his! So I know what you mean, now I would say if you wanted to was her up if you can and take a picture with you in it and that you can keep. And go luck on your new car shopping I hate the prices or payments emoticon Now that would make me cry and that might be me soon too emoticon emoticon
