Going gluten and yeast free has enabled me to go off medications

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

I started cutting out Gluten in January to check for Celiacs and then after a lot of reading and coming across info that pointed to a possible yeast allergy I started cutting out yeast about a month ago.

* I haven't taken a Welbutrin for two weeks and have had no depression.
* I stopped taking Nexium (proton pump inhibitor for GERD) two weeks ago and switched to the OTC dose of Prilosec. Then a few days ago I ran out of Prilosec and didn't buy any more. I have no symptoms of GERD.
* I haven't taken Xyzal for allergies in over a week with no problems and I am having minimal allergy symptoms.

Next I am contemplating cutting out one of my Rheumatoid Arthritis medications.

I hear you and you sound like me and that is what I did with my meds that I was taking and I too want to get off my meds for SLE (lupus). I am down to three but not sure if I
can get off the one for my eyes. Hate drops but have to put them in or the pressure goes up.
