Tuesday's Times (& Plans)

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

Breakfast in a meeting room consisted of warm oatmeal, unsweetened, unripened fruit, and pastries. I consumed oatmeal with dried cranberries and brown sugar, and hot tea. Nibbled a couple of pieces of fruit. Couldn't bare more...

There was a general session in a larger meeting space. A high school band played. Then the speaker said something to the effect of "compromising in groups for kindergarteners...blah...blah.
..blah...", and something about another group dynamic and compromising with more blah...blah...blah...

I'm not complaining, but I did notice MOST attendees on their various electronic devices.
Perhaps MOST teachers have become attention deficit ourselves. This is a magnet school conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma. How can we get the most out of this presentation?
Uh...Need coffee now was my thought. So I retrieved cold water for the dispenser in the lobby area. Alternate plan #2.

Plan # 1 (in case you missed it) was skipping the pastries at breakfast.

Plan #3 Walked with 2 colleagues to get lunch at a pub. Burgers were "da bomb". Won't say this on the plane ride back. Don't worry!
I know what you're thinking. Why did I eat that cheeseburger? Simple answer: I wanted it.
Not that I NEEDED it. this leads to...

Plan #4 I am going to work out after the last session at our hotel's gym. Squats...calf raises...treadmill...whatever I can do, I'm doing it!!!

Plan #5 If I eat dinner, it'll be really light like a side salad. Yep. That burger weighed me down. Feels like kettle bells loaded in the pit of my stomach. Uh oh...anal conversations coming on...

Gotta go (if you know what I mean) emoticon
