Begining a New Year...I'm 34 today!

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

Today I turn 34. It's my birthday. emoticon And I'm actually beginning a juice fast again. It's a happy day and a healthy day. I'm grateful to be over the horrible stomach virus I had this weekend (down 8 pounds btw!). Grateful for this past year and look forward to what 34 has in store. I began the day by taking the kids to the zoo. Now that they are worn out, I'm indulging myself in midday computer and tv time (I usually only do this at night when they are in bed).

I'm just using this blog to reevaluate my goals and plan on how to reach them.

The Plan: This week I'm fasting and doing moderate workouts. Next week bringing back in fruits, veggies and beans, and upping the intensity of my workouts, and the week after that back to healthy balanced meals of fish, veggies, meat, fruit, brown rice etc., and very intense workouts at least 5 days a week. I will do a short 3-5 day fast once a month until I reach my goal and aim to eat balanced and healthy with only a few "treat days" on the rest of the days. I'm also hitting the gym NO EXCUSES - 5 days a week, even if that means 5am or 9pm is the only time I can fit it in. I'm going.

The Goal: The Ultimate goal is to be at my goal weight of 135 (33 more pounds to lose) by August and maintain it within 5 pounds for life!

Mini goals:
159 lbs (-9lbs) by May 19th (for family pictures)
157llbs by May 25th (for the kids b-day party)
148lbs by June 22nd (for the Dave Matthews Concert) :) Yay 140's!
139lbls by July 20th (for Jen's Bachelorette Party) Yay 130's!!
135lbs by August 3rd!! GOAL

I'm going to make a more detailed plan and do small rewards every 5 pounds for fun...even thought the weight loss is reward in itself, the rewards along the way are fun and motivating.

I highlighted my mini goals (above) by events going on in my life this summer because I find it motivating to think about reaching that weight for those events. It's exciting to think about what I can wear, how much better I'll look in pictures, how much energy I'll have and how surprised some people will be when they see me at these events. :)

ok kids are waking up. Mommy time is over.
emoticon cheers!

Happy Birthday!! I love how you have target-dates that are also non-food treats, like the Dave Matthews concert (jeal-ous!). My ultimate target weight-date is also in August. I picked my mom's birthday.

Best of luck on your journey!
