Yes I am tired. Yesterday took a lot out of me, and even before I was locked out of the house, I was planning on a nap. No nap.
I just haven't been sleeping. I keep attempting to keep "normal" hours, but it's getting harder and harder to do. I just sleep better durning the day. I don't have to rely on OTC sleeping pills (which I get addicted to far too easily, one night and I'm hooked). I have tired countless prescription sleep aids too. The either leave me sleeping for days on end, or I don't sleep and just see hallucinations (not fun). I know that if I can just make the switch to a day sleeper I would be better. But there are issues with that.
This house is nice, don't get me wrong. But the acoustics are gosh-awful! I mean seriously bad. I can here my dad fart in his bathroom from anywhere in the house. I can hear my parents conversations outside when I am in the front living. So if I was to be a night walker (not a vampire, but you get the idea), then I would have to be "very very quiet" (said in an Elmer Fudge voice). So that idea is rather unappealing. Plus the fact that I like having my alone time to dance and sing durning the day. I know that I wouldn't be sleeping the entire day away, but I would be very short on my me time, or time to run errands, or workout outside (because I don't care how safe it is, I am not running at 3 in the morning...unless it was 103 degrees outside, in which case I might just have to buy a small thing of maze!).
But seriously, I think this is one of the reasons why my runs are so hard. I know my buddy Jennifer (Swanatopia) gave me reason to believe it might be all those dang squats, but since I am not have a problem bending over, or going the bathroom, I don't know. It might be a factor, but I really think it's probably because I haven't been sleeping well. My body is physically tired. My heart rate is flippin' awesome though. Normally my average heart rate on a 30 minute run would be anywhere from 162 to 172. But I am at 150 for my average on Monday. So I know my heart rate is good. In fact it is similar to what it was in December when I was running 3 minutes and 5 minutes, with a short walking interval of 1:30 and 2 minutes.
Oh well. So I am wondering if I should take it easy today. I am just going to work out my ab challenge (not the JM workout, I am far to weak for that), my squats (heck I have today and tomorrow left), my calves (they need it!), my wall sit challenge (which I didn't do yesterday, but 20 sec seems doable), and possible my arm workout by FitnessBlender. Doesn't sound like an easy day, but with no cardio, it will be.
And on that note, I want to say how much I miss the easy of having an indoor apartment gym with a stationary bike and elliptical. As well as having pool access and knowing no one would be there. And I really miss having a bike here, since I can actually ride it around this area. In fact there is a bike trail that I could ride (if only I wasn't afraid of crossing a major intersection, though it is made for a bike trail to cross there). But yeah, I really want my bike back.
Yesterday was pretty bad about food, as I mentioned before, I was going on 17 hours without food because I was locked out. So I grabbed two bananas before the shower, left over chili and added some cheese after the shower, some of those rolled Pirolette (spelling?) cookies (around two, which is one serving) and a couple of cookies here and there (I think maybe 3 at most). Then I was stuffed. I didn't even eat a real dinner (though I finished off the crawl fish with cherry mustard that mom didn't eat). Finally around 10, I had a bowl of Poteet Strawberry Ice Cream, the only strawberry ice cream worth getting. It's like vanilla ice cream with Poteet strawberries. And for those of you who don't know, Poteet is a small town outside of San Antonio that is know for their strawberries. And the only place you can get Poteet Strawberry ice cream is at HEB. (I sound just like the commercial).
But yeah, HEB does have some good stuff that you can't get anywhere else.
So that's it for now. I am going to go steal me a cookie with a glass of milk. Also I don't know if you about Tumblr, but it's a blogging social network site that has a lot of fitness blogs (Fitblrs). They normally suck, but that's where a lot of the Pinterest stuff comes from. So I am going to be starting my own, I just need a good name. Ideas? Also is there anyone that actually as a tumblr here?
