The past couple of weeks have been a bit of a struggle. I got sick with a sinus and ear infection and couldn't work out. I've now been running again but haven't been monitoring my calories like I should. I'm trying to remind myself that slow and steady wins the race. I may not be losing as quickly as I'd like, but I'm not going back in the other direction. My instinct for snacks now is fruit and yogurt, not chips and ice cream. When I think "what do I want for dinner?" steamed veggies and chicken pop into my brain, not mashed potatoes and steak. I've allowed myself a few too many treats lately, but ing eneral I've been eating very healthily and I can't complain about that! I may not be as bikini ready as I want to be for this summer, but I'm more than 16 pounds lighter than I was at this point last year, and at only 5'1", that's quite the percentage of my body weight!
