Sometimes I measure and sometimes I don't. I'm not as uptight about the exact number of calories I eat anymore. I'd still like to lose a few more pounds but I had to stop depriving myself of food cuz I was getting really hungry. Now I'm probably at 1500 or more calories per day. I've started working out more so I get hungry! One thing I have to do is get back to not eating after 6, I pushed it back to 7 and have been consuming calories that don't get burned off.
Well I won't look at the clock but I know I need to eat some breakfast right now. Berries, oatmeal and a drizzle of honey. Sorry but I'm going to measure one cup berries, 1/4 oatmeal. That way I just have to guess on the drizzle of honey cuz I haven't looked up the calories yet.

    That after dinner snacking isn't because I'm still hungry. I'm not, I just want to creep back to old habits I think. I know the only way I'll finally lose these last few pounds is the way I lost the first 60 or so, eat 1200 calories and just get used to being a little hungry. Today's the day, 1200 or bust! emoticon

    I don't eat after dinner, but it's not because it's late... it's because I've already eaten enough for the day! And by then I'm just grazing for no good reason. But if you're actually hungry-hungry (not just bored), maybe you really aren't eating enough. Or maybe something is missing from your diet that you need.

I hate tracking, but it's been useful. I find that I really want to eat like I used to when I was a lot more active than I am now. I need to eat more than the Spark tracker says I do, but if I didn't track it and pay close attention to how I feel, I wouldn't actually figure it out. It's still a juggling act for me.

It does sound like you've got the right ideas (using eggs and nuts to help you fill up since you are low on protein and eating lots of veggies. I'm sure you'll find your groove!

    I am so-so on measuring. What really hurts my goals are keeping up on fiber. I do make sure I have fruit for breakfast every day but then I slack off at night. Just find what works for you and stick with it. emoticon

    I reach for carbs at night and the scale is telling me I won't lose any weight if I keep it up. I always eat tons of veggies and am really trying to up the protein. I keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge so I can just grab one and add it to my salad. I have almonds on hand too. I should go on a protein diet cuz I'm not a big meat eater.

    I still measure pretty much everything, but it's because it's easier. 3/4 oz dry pasta or grain per serving is a lot easier than guessing.

    I'd suggest upping your protein and veggies to feel fuller longer. They are longer lasting, additionally scientific effidence does not suppor the claims that eating after a certain time our bad, it depends on what and how much; a calorie is a calorie and they aren't all stored as fat as they'd have you believe.
