Doctor appointment for me yesterday. Specialist for the boy Friday

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

My Doctor appointment went well yesterday. It was just a meet a greet with the new doctor with a full physical in a few weeks but overall she saw no concerns other than determining that what I thought might be blood pressure issues when over stressed was actually anxiety attacks and she is suggesting that I keep track of how often they occur between now and my next appointment to determine if and what kind of meds would be appropriate. I don't really want to go on meds but when I talked to my mom (one of the biggest things that causes me stress) about needing to take a bit more quiet time to relax instead of running for her resulted in her laughing at me and saying "good luck with that" in a snotty nasty way... So aggravated with her!!!

Anyway before I go on a rant about my frustrations of late....

I will say that I HATED the Dr's scale... it declares me at 180.8 lbs (dressed) at 5'5". Good way to have a goal though as my next appointment is exactly one month away on June 6. I have to get on it too as the Dr let it go that my weight was up since I explained that with my job I work much harder in good weather than in winter but don't always change my eating habits so I fully expect to see a winter gain usually of around 10 lbs but I've got the feeling that if I don't shed some pounds by then she will be starting in on the lectures LOL!

Finally got a call from Christian's specialist about getting an appointment. His PT is going great and he is definitely standing and walking much better but I still really want him in to the specialist so we can find out if there is anything else going on we need to know about and possibly get some custom orthotics, shoe recommendations, etc... So thankful though that C likes going to PT especially the morning appointments (My child CHOSE to have 7 am appointments before school!)

Lessons all morning and evening tonight and same tomorrow with an all day field trip Thursday followed by the Dr on Friday and hubby out of town Friday to Sunday, wish I could go to but don't have anyone to feed :( meaning I'm solo for everything all weekend... gonna be busy!

My puppy was super cute the other day so I just thought I'd share her... She was climbing on everything!!! coming 5 year old Pekingese Dolly.
