Fat: my enemy

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

Is it just me, or is losing weight the hardest thing ever? It seems like when you don't want to lose weight it just falls right off. But after you have a baby, or when you get older and start having responsibilities, it seem as though being healthy takes a backseat to all the other things going on in our lives everyday. I think my biggest problem is not really know how to juggle everything I have to do everyday properly so that I can fit exercising into my schedule. However, I have decided that I am going to start the Paleo diet because I figure that would be a great place to start. Anyone else have and suggestions for me, because being fat is certainly my enemy. emoticon

I'm not big on Paleo but I do wish you the best of success with it and with whatever else you decide to do to regain your health.

And yes, losing weight is hard as heck! But worth it, right?

I am more Primal than Paleo, though close to the same. Primal includes dairy for one thing, although I have cut it out for awhile.

I also follow the Perfect Health Diet recommendations, which is being hailed as "Paleo Perfected."

I have found that for me, it is getting back to my roots, the way we were raised, before processed and fast food.

I commend you for your bravery in taking on the Paleo diet. It sounds too complicated for me--I enjoy my occasional chances to eat out and stuff, so I have never been able to go on a strict diet. I have to work constantly to lose any of this weight, and exercise can only happen when there's time to spare, which is hard with my little girls running around.

It's easy for us to put ourselves and our health on the back burner while we're taking care of "more important" things. I've been focusing lately on getting home from work and taking about 30 minutes to work out before I pick up my girls from daycare. It's the only time during the day I really have completely to myself.

Foodwise, I try to make healthy choices most of the time, but of course everyone has slip ups. We just have to keep pressing forward.

Check out some of the stuff going on in the Beaumont Area Sparkers team forum, and you'll be able to find stuff around town that might help you on your journey.
