Beginning of a garden...?

Long time no see, SP Blog. How's it going? Good? Good.
Life has been crazy, but when is it not? It's starting to warm up here though, highs of 70 degrees (about 21 degrees Celsius) during the day and lots of sunshine. I'm really enjoying it for the time being, though I know it won't last long. Soon enough it'll be sticky, hot, uncomfortable summer.
I keep thinking summer will get more comfortable as I lose weight, but it's not really the case is it? Granted I don't have to move as much of me around, but I still sweat like a stuck pig. Yuck.
There are some things I'm looking forward to this year though. A friend is visiting me pretty soon for a whole week, and I'm starting up a tiny little garden! Yaaay.
Well not so much a garden as a tomato plant, that a friend started up then gave to me. I'm still allowed to be excited though, right? Admittedly I've never had a plant of my own before, so I'm perpetually worried I'll kill the little guy, but it's been nearly a week and he's still alive so I have my fingers crossed. He's even grown some! (Yes, I'm calling my plant a 'he'. So what?)
The gardening thing might turn out to be fun if it goes well though; I'm hoping that I'll be able to get some fresh tomatoes this year, since I love them anyway and that would be cheap and delicious.
