I have been trying to get all the last minute details done for my High Tea on Wed. the rain prevented me from doing anything outdoors, so I worked indoors baking blueberry scones and lemon brownies, blueberry meringues shaped like chocolate kisses. Also have been cutting paper doilies to fit my glass luncheon plates, have lots of varieties of tea for the gals to choose from. Have my cup and saucer wrapped for the exchange with a poem. Got potpourri for my potpourri crock to keep the bathroom smelling nice. cleaned windows and mirrors and vacuumed umpteen times (my cat makes messes), rearranged some cupboards so things could be hidden from sight. I'm mopping the kitchen floor at the very last cause it gets the most foot traffic and every little thing shows up on it. I ran an errand with one cohostess got her the almond flour she needs for cookies she is making and she and her niece are making the most adorable centerpieces. So everything is coming together, so the stress level isn't too bad. Bathroom is sparkling, kitchen is pretty much in order as well as the living room and you've seen pics of the garden where the event will take place so Mother Nature is doing her job too, and I got the lawn mowed before the rain hit so that's done as well woo hoo I think I can relax some now.
