Whole30, Day 19

So many comments about the purple cauliflower! Yay! It tastes like white cauliflower to me...the farmer said that it's sweeter, but I can't tell. It's definitely tasty & pretty looking though :)

Pretty good day today--just work & minor grocery shopping (I needed eggs & ended up picking up some scallops...yum!).

I have less than 2 weeks left of my Whole30 & I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to the end. I want to experiment with food more! I want to eat the occasional thing with honey or agave syrup or coconut sugar in it! I want to have the occasional cocktail or glass of wine! I want to try to see if I can get some form of dairy back into my diet or if I need to be truly dairy free...and if so I want to make cashew cheese! I want to eat some of my non-Whole30 meals from my freezer so that I have room for making some other (more likely to be Whole30-compliant, honestly) frozen meals! I want to eat raw veggies & hummus! I want to experiment with gluten-free baking again!

Then again, I probably wouldn't have the energy to do all of these things if I hadn't done the Whole30...so yeah...

Food:
Breakfast: berries with coconut milk
Lunch: spinach with olive oil & roasted veggies & a salmon cake, mixed berries
Dinner: sauteed scallops, sauteed spinach, roasted veggies



Have you noticed, I've stopped snacking...naturally...it's weird.

You're doing great! That's very cool about no more snacking. They said it would happen. emoticon
Today my husband voiced his first wish for when our Whole30 is over. He wants sugar in his coffee again. Poor guy. I never expected him to be so good about doing this with me.
I'm looking forward to all your experimentations when you start adding those things back in.

    The fact that I don't crave food all day long is an amazing miracle! Who knew that just a few tweaks would make things SO much better?! Now, if only I were completely Paleo...! Getting there...

I LOVE the plate at the end of your blog! That color is fabulous! Yummy!~

I think you have stopped snacking because of your lower intake of carbs, I bet you are below 100g a day, so your probably burning more fat as fuel. Your meals like well balanced and tasty. emoticon emoticon emoticon
