So I thought I had a good fitness plan in place.....
My little man got sick yesterday and I almost had to take him into the ER yesterday so this morning at the pediatrician's office, he tested positive for strep.
Of course most people would say I'm being overly cautious, but I'm not sure I can take him to the gym's childcare center anymore. He's been sick since off and on for 5 weeks. It may have been strep all along or he might have caught strep after the ear infection that he had in the beginning of April, either way, this can't keep happening on a constant basis. He's a preemie and pretty underweight so illnesses hit him hard. I'm kind of upset....I love my spinning and Zumba classes. I don't even know how he's getting sick this often or why but it might have something to do with all of his new little friends at the gym. Ugh. He has been doing better since he got on an antibiotic today at least.
So the point of this is that I may have to think of a different plan. I might have to quit the gym and take up running...but I really don't like running. However I have to do what it takes to make it happen. I believe that. I can't just throw my hands up. Or I could get someone to watch Josh a couple days per week so I could at least go to two classes (or something like that) and then run the other days of the week. There's a cool Couch 2 5K app on the iPhone that my friends have told me about but I have a "stupid" phone. I would really need this to run. Running is somewhat torturous for me. I get lots of lower back pain from it and sometimes it just seems so monotonous. Don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm going to do something!
