I did it!

I am so proud of myself today. I did 30 crunches!!! I know to some that don't really seem like all that much but to me it is a lot and just proves that I am on the right track and going in the right direction of being healthy & fit! I ROCK!!!! For the last several years I have fought with the reality that I may never be able to do the things I use to do and enjoy (set ups, crunches, push ups ect.) because of low lumbar issues. I had finally just accepted what was and what was going to be and told myself do what I could, find new exercises or learn the modifications to the other ones. So as I embarked on this journey I knew and was prepared for what now is and would be ok with it. A week ago I could only do maybe 10 crunches, 2 weeks maybe 4 or 5 and before that I wasn't even going to try because I knew deep down I wasn't ready and neither was my back. So yes to me 30 is a very big deal. It tells me my hard work, my effort, my determination, my own strength has paid off and will continue to do so as long as I put forth the effort and remember to take baby steps!!!
