Day 9 - I did it!!!

Monday, May 06, 2013

Today was the final day and rather anticlimactic. It was nice to munch on a little granola this morning with my almond milk. So, there have been big ups and downs with this detox. I am going to try the gluten free route for a while and see if it makes a difference. I do, in general, feel better. My head seems a bit clearer but I gotta say, I am ready for something other than fish for protein. I made a bean soup for the really bad days but couldn't spice it up enough to interest me. DUH, I just thought I should have put hot sauce in. Oh, well.

I lost 7 pounds and the scale actually tipped up half a pound yesterday to make that 6.5. Not a bit deal as I figured the weight could not stay off. I hope I can really kick the sugar but that's hard as it's in everything. Still, I need to make changes and this has been good for getting me started. I find it interesting that after a pretty limited menu for the last week, I am not really craving anything. I thought that I'd be crazy. I was a little irritable at times, I must say, and today was hard in that I've been trying to resolve problems brought on by a client's web hosting service that have had us going crazy for five days. Today I just had enough. I mean, come on, you mess something up and cannot fix it after five days and have NO explanation of what you did? It's really, really good that I'm not drinking right now. The director actually emailed me to say the wine was open!

Anyway, I did it. I am DETOXIFIED!!! Don't know if I wanna do it again but I'm really glad I did it.

I'd like to know what you eliminated? Was it the Virgin elimination diet?
