On 5/1/13 I decided it was time to change my life. It is time for me to take control of me and my life.
I weighed myself (252lbs.) and went for a walk. I actually eat pretty well, but I also started tracking my food with a great app I have used before called "My Net Diary". I know my issues are not necessarily with the types of foods I eat, but with my portion sizes and I am an emotional eater. So I have started measuring my portions and I am going to work on a stress reduction plan to hopefully end the emotional eating.
Probably the most exciting thing I did on Wednesday, 5/1/13 was to join SparkPeople. I know I will find lots of support from some super motivated people at SP and lots of resourses to help keep me moving toward my goals.
Just in case there are any doubts about my goals for the next 12 months, here they are:
1. Eat appropriate portions and track everything I eat
2. Walk 2-3 miles at least 5 days a week
3. Follow my stress reduction plan (devote 15 minutes everyday to stress reduction)
4. Lose 126 lbs. (Half of Me)
