Not So Fearless Rosie

Monday, May 06, 2013

Did some yard work yesterday, taking advantage of the beautiful Spring weather.Although she joined me outside, Rosie wasn't getting her exercise. Inspired by Chicchantal, I decided to take Rosie for a hike at our Town Forest. I'd never visited it before, so I was prepared for a somewhat lengthy hike. When we started, there were two directions to go. So, we started to the right and didn't get more than 100 yds when we faced a small stream which we would have to step into to get across. So we turned around and walked back and took the second path. We got no further than 125 yards on that path and met the same stream, only this path had a 2 log bridge to cross it. No matter what, Rosie was having NONE of it--I had to turn around. Apparently there will be no balancing acts for her, no future circus prospects and DEFINITELY no doggie surfing down the line. This is one walk I'll be taking alone.

Hahaha, poor Rosie. Of my three Cocker Spaniels, my girl Grace is the one that dislikes walks in general. She would have been right beside Rosie in her refusal.

It is too bad that they don't have a pallet or some other type of bridge. Poor Rosie
