Happy Monday, Sparkers! I hope everyone had a great weekend!
I had a great weekend, although it wasn't the healthiest. I was good on Friday night - we did burgers for dinner, but I didn't eat a bunch of chips like I normally do with burgers. Saturday I was good when we went out for breakfast. Then we went to the farmers market. We had some samples of various foods there. After that we went to get family photos done - so cute! Then we hit the produce store (got 2 more dragon fruit there!!) and went home to cook up our steaks. Our sides were mashed potatoes and asparagus. Not super healthy, but not unhealthy.
Sunday was terrible. We met up with a friend for an afternoon beverage - and it turned into several beverages and bad food choices. I woke up hung over today and skipped my workout. DANG IT! We sure had a good time though, but there is a price for everything!
I got signed up for the Beat the Bridge 8k that is in 2 weeks. I won't have time to train between now and then, unless I really buckle down while we are out of town this weekend and get a run in. Being that it is an 8k and we just ran a 12k I'm not too worried, but I'd like to get a run in somewhere!
Anyway - things are picking up at work so I better get to it!
