I only realized yesterday that today starts the weeks of no more intervals.. so for all of week 7, i will be running 25 mins straight, and W8 is 28 mins, and W9 is 30 mins. it means that i'm getting really close to the end, but it also means that i may need to take some more time to be able to do these runs comfortably before pressing on.
today's run was.. hard. The good news is that i finished it!! 25 whole minutes is alot for me to be proud of! The bad news is that i had to slow down my pace a tad about half way through. I swear that running is mostly a mental game for me. I'm glad that i have (at least) all week to work through these 25 minutes, and i definitely won't move on until i'm ready.
last night, i biked 4K with hubby (and my youngest daughter in the bike trailer). it was HIS first bike ride of the season, so we didn't go too far or too fast, but i'm glad it's something he's willing to do with me. to be honest, i was about to give up on the idea of a bike ride last night, but he was all for it, so i went. then this morning, i had another bike ride. it was only 5K, but it was my first time biking on some of the super busy roads in my town. but i did it, and didn't get hit by a car, so success, right? lol.
as for the Dirty Dash that i'm running this summer... i still don't for sure have a partner to go with me, but i do have one friend who has shown interest. she's thinking about it. hubby *says* he'll do it with me if no one else will, and i really hope that's true. i can do it alone if i need to, but i think it would be fun to do with a partner.
tomorrow, i start my (modified) NRFLfW strength workout. it will be interesting to see what my starting weights are. i'm very excited, and nervous too, lol.
