I don't have a lot of choice in the relaxation department. It's classic runner's knee, so I am resting, icing & elevating. Which forces DH to walk the dogs - hey, it was his idea to take them in tbe first place!
We are all way too hard on ourselves. Normally I will get myself some shoes or some jewelry as a reward for finishing a HM. I feel as tho I don't deserve it this time - I know this is silly; I probably deserve it more - but I don't really want to remember this one!
Just like we don't feel proud of losing "only" a quarter pound or half a pound or even "just" one pound. All those little amounts add up to a great big amount over time & we should be proud. It isn't easy & most people never even try.
Last Thursday I weighed in just 1 pound above my WW GW, which means I can be free for the month of may. Being on vacation this week & being forced into inactivity means I'll most likely gain & I only have that 1 pound as a cushion - but I have until the beginning of June. And it's another reason I'd like to lose 3 more pounds.
So onto food. Made some great discoveries lately.
Saw this today. Looks really good.
Got this at Whole Foods in Providence, which was conveniently next to the store I had to pick my packet up at. I miss Whole Paycheck, as it's known. But we have one coming next yr!
Anyway, this also looks awesome, but like a good little runner I didn't wantto try anything new before a race. Now I wish I had.
I picked this up - the chocolate cashews - at Whole Fuels too. Very tasty.
I got the coconut chocolate bar from Vitamin Shop before we left. These don't taste like 70% chocolate at all; nice & smooth. So often these types of bars are bitter but this was really good.
