Woo hoo

Monday, May 06, 2013

Hey, I woke up feeling human today! Woo hoo! I am going to tell the doctors that I do not want the colonoscopy until I am stronger. I don't want to go through the prep and lose so much nutrition. so i will let them know today.
I think the expensive pre digested drink that is 500 calories with tons of vitamins is working for the malabsorption problem.
I will get out for a little walk with the dogs today as I keep reading that some exercise helps with gastritis.
I attached some photos of all the food that has been prepared or me. I am set for awhile. This cook is creative. She has to cook without harsh spices, dairy, gluten, sugar and nightshade veggies(tomato, potato, eggplant, peppers). Her food is delicious. Last night I had Basil Chicken with Brown Rice and Peas. Then I had her Almond Milk Tapioca. I had an appetite as well so really enjoyed it.
I hope you have a great day. I think I will!
Oh and I had watched a Dr. Oz show with a guest named Alejandro Junger MD. He has written several books about cleaning your gut for health so your body can heal it'self. I downloaded both of his books and he also has a web site
He had a woman on who has RA and many of the symptoms I am having with lack of appetite, malabsorption, etc. She went on his plan and now is off all westtern meds and picture of health. Now here is the fun part...he recommends what I am gluten, no sugar, no dairy, night shades, etc. Check out his site as he gives his program for free on line. You can download it.
So I am feeling positive today
Hope you all have a terrific day.

It's such heartening news to hear the change in this post, Sallie - you sound like you're really bouncing back nicely! And the food Carmen has crafted looks VERY, VERY appealing! emoticon It's bound to appeal to your appetite and help get you back 100%...along with the predigested drink, which sounds like it's also making a powerful contribution. The basil chicken with brown rice and peas sounded especially mouthwatering. Enjoy!! - Susan emoticon

So happy for the very upbeat post today. I watched the show you are talking about and was wondering if Hubby and I should try it for a few weeks to see if it improves how we feel. We also got a juicer and we are going on some healty juicing for a while to help our systems. I am so much into the green juicing of all the green veggies/ Many of these help clean your system also. Enjoy your day and the wonderful food that you have

Wonderful stash of food.
I am toying with the idea of eliminating wheat/gluten as an experiment.
Have a wonderful day!

I am thrilled for you! Yes indeed, looks like you have the motherlode of a food supply! Good for you. Looks so appetizing too.

I think you're right to postpone the colonoscopy till you are stronger. Makes perfect sense.

HUGS and may the healing continue!
