Saturday, we had places to be.
Coffee and a banana to start the day.
I was hoping we would find a place to get a scone, but I ended up with a buffalo chicken dip with tortilla chips. (I ate about half the chips, maybe less.)
Then, a brownie and an iced tea beverage
Adult beverage featuring all my favorites: pear vodka, prosecco and st. germain, plus lime juice.
Unpictured: cup of clam chowder, shared bruschetta and beet salad, half an onion ring (not my favorite thing)
then there was a longish bit of walking around Plymouth, MA.
I should have taken more pics when we were out on the breakwater... Rock-stepping and sea breezes, waves on either side, it was lovely.
Instead, the first stop we made...
Breakfast - duck egg and blue cheese omelet, fingerling potato, grain sausage, shallots, mushrooms, garlic and dinosaur kale hash. Glass of orange mango juice.
Hazelnut and chocolate gelato on Federal Hill - trip to Italian grocery store, then more vegetable-buying elsewhere.
Dinner was fresh pasta with grilled veggies, plus a taste of both a wild mushroom and a puttanesca sauce and some baked ricotta grated over the top. (Added a touch more cheese and a spoonful more of the wild mushroom sauce after I'd had the first half.)
There was also more chocolate
