Closing out the day

Sunday, May 05, 2013

First off, Happy Cinco de Mayo! It was a day of celebration for a vast
group of people today. I know 3 who celebrated a different event. That
was the Lincoln Marathon. SUNNY1432 (my DD) and SIL competed in
the HM and she came in under 2 hours. Quite impressive for her first
HM. SIL ran with her and kept her going. I am sure it was a very special
time for both of them. Also, ONEKIDSMOM was there and posted a
great time as well. Congrats to you all!
As for me, I followed a fairly routine Sunday morning, then followed
it by baking bread, doing laundry and catching up on a few household
chores. We had almost 1/2 inch of rain and we are looking forward to
sunshine for the next few days. I am sure the garden will start coming
to life shortly.
I was a little short on steps but had an interesting time trying to milk
the newest nanny. But for a first time mom, she is adjusting quite
well. I will take pics tomorrow when the sun is shining. The lights
in the barn are too high to do justice to "Bentley the Billy".
Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow.

Wow, I wish we had 1/2 inch of rain......we have had 3.8 inches and it's not done yet! Afraid my neighbor's garden will drown! I've been lazy, so all I have so far is carrots and they seem to be doing ok. Our temps are rising. From 46 yesterday to 62 so far today. I almost like it cooler with this weather, b/c the warmer it is the more storms are likely. Don't like storms!
Sounds like your new mommy nannie will be coming along fine. Looking forward to pics of "Bentley the Billie"!
Have a great day!

emoticon for the runners. I love the name "Bentley the Billy"....looking forward to the pix. Enjoy the sunny days....just never know how long they will stay around....especially this year with all the rain. Although thinking about it reminds me last year we were praying for rain.....could it be our prayers are answered.
Have a great day. emoticon
